Independent Financial Adviser in Glasgow
Independent pension and investment advice in Glasgow
We help people across Glasgow and the west of Scotland plan for retirement, get more from the pensions they already have and invest with confidence.
Choosing an adviser comes down to a few things: what they charge, what they specialise in, whether they're independent and how well qualified they are. We publish our fees, concentrate on pensions, retirement income and investments, are fully independent, and are led by a Chartered Financial Planner.
Meetings are by appointment in the city centre at 1 West Regent Street, at your home, or by video call.

Questions we're often asked
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All meetings at West Regent Street are by appointment, so please call or book online before coming in. We can also see you at home or by video.
What is your initial fee?
Our initial advice charge is a percentage of the amount invested or transferred, and it reduces as the amount increases. For advice on £250,000 of pensions or investments our initial fee would be 1.65%, falling to 1.2% on £500,000 and 0.97% on £1 million. We'll always confirm your fee in writing before any work starts. What is the normal fee for a financial adviser?
In the UK, the average fees for financial advice are 2.4% of the amount invested for the initial advice and 0.8% per year for ongoing advice. VouchedFor rate our fees as ‘Competitive’.
Is there a minimum amount?
Yes. Our service is designed for clients with £250,000 or more in pensions and investments.
Is it worth paying for a financial adviser?
Generally, yes. Studies have shown that people who take financial advice tend to be better off in the long run than those who don't. If you're only looking at simple cash products such as savings accounts or Cash ISAs, advice is unlikely to be worth paying for.
Do banks offer free financial advice?
No. Until 2012 advisers could be paid by commission, which gave the impression that advice was free. Commission is no longer allowed on investment products, so financial advisers now charge a fee for their services.
